HORIZONTAL VACUUM FILTERS

FILTRA LQS manufactures two types Horizontal Vacuum Filters: the Belt Filters HBF and the Media Filters HF.

The HBF types operate continuously with the filtering cloth supported by a special rubber belt, designed to obtain maximum flows.
The filtration is obtained sending the suspension to the filter; the solids are retained by the filtering cloth and dried by the action of the vacuum applied to the filter. The filtering cloth, transported by the rubber belt, holds the cake through which is discharged it at the end of the filter by means of a scraper.
During the filtration it is possible to have a co-current or counter-current washing of the cake. The cloth can be washed after the cake discharge.
HBF 30 sqm.

The HF models have the filtering cloth applied directly on the drain grids and moved only without the vacuum. The cloth is moved during the feeding of the filter and stopped during the drying obtained by the vacuum. The filtration cycle is controlled by a PLC acting the valves and the traction motor for the filtering cloth. The speed of the cloth and the drying time depends of the characteristics of the suspension and can be modified to obtain the best result.
Co-current or counter-current cake washing is also possible.

The Horizontal Vacuum Filters are manufactured with different materials or linings and with filtering surfaces up to 100 m2 for the HBF and 30 m2 for the HF.

Main applications: phosphoric acid, gypsum in FGD plants, citric acid, tartaric acid, zeolite, boric acid, cement copper washing, alluminum foundry sludges, recovery of metals and when there is a continuous solid-liquid separation with high specific gravity of the solids.
